Audi bulletin A4025922076604_1

What it saysThis TSB provides informaiton about locating noises coming from suspension. NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Audi filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Jan 15, 2025, received Feb 5, 2025, about the suspension. It names 242 model years (2016–2026). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 240 model years this bulletin names have filed 3,768 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 102 of them name Suspension — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

Rear Suspension cross- member. Extensive corrosion hidden behind stone guard trapping dirt and moisture. I would not have known the rust was there if the stone guard had not come apart from the cross member I cannot trust the safety of this vehicle until it is repaired Audi requires a dealer inspection at the cost of the consumer.

2016 Audi Allroad · Suspension · filed with NHTSA Jul 6, 2026 · ODI 11748467

During a recent inspection at Audi Chantilly (Virginia), the service department inspected cracked upper control arm bushings in the front suspension that were noted during a recent service to install new tires and perform an alignment (see attached photos. There is cracking and what appears to be some type of fluid leakage).

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Audi A4025922076604_1 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the A4025922076604_1 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.

Which vehicles does A4025922076604_1 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 242 model years: 2025 Audi A3, 2024 Audi A3, 2023 Audi A3, 2022 Audi A3, 2020 Audi A3, 2019 Audi A3 and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
