Stellantis bulletin S2608000015

What it saysMemory Seat Does Not Work There Is No Response from The Seat While Pressing the Memory Seat Profiles from the Switch Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1D9B-54- Seat Horizontal Front Stop Not Learned-Missing Calibration NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Stellantis filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Mar 19, 2026, received Mar 25, 2026, about the electrical system. It names 37 model years across Jeep, Ram and Dodge (2016–2026). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 33 model years this bulletin names have filed 4,370 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 1,762 of them name Electrical System, Seats — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

On the 2018 Dodge Durango, the 33 owners who gave an odometer reading for Electrical System reported it at a median of 29,000 miles. That figure is one model year’s, not the whole range this bulletin covers — medians from different model years are not averaged.

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA May 27, 2026

The start/stop warning light came on for the second time on my 2019 Durango. I had both batteries replaced the first time and now, at 18,500 miles it came on again even though I drive it daily on both highway and local roads. This time, the warning only came on once but the start/stop feature was affecting the performance of the truck.

2019 Dodge Durango · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA Aug 6, 2021

While drive my 2018 Dodge Durango on the fwy around 65+ the engine just turn off. With kids in the car we were stuck in the slow lane of the fwy unable to move the car. I tried restarting it with no luck. The car still had power(lights were on). The car wouldn't go into neutral .. The car had to be pulled off the road by a tow truck.

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Stellantis S2608000015 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the S2608000015 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.

Which vehicles does S2608000015 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 37 model years across 3 brands (Jeep, Ram and Dodge): 2026 Dodge Durango, 2025 Dodge Durango, 2024 Dodge Durango, 2023 Dodge Durango, 2022 Dodge Durango, 2021 Dodge Durango and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
