For this condition, the following fault is stored in the DME: 190302 - fuel tank ventilation and scavenging air system, micro-leak: leakage more than 0.5mm For: Model vehicles other that the ones listed above, or for EVAP faults related to a “large leak,” after confirming that the fuel filler cap is fitted properly, then, proceed to follow the corresponding test plan

as I was driving, the gas fuel line started spewing gas all over. The crack was higher up, behind the backseat, had to replace the fuel line. And behind the backseat was soaked with fuel oil. there was a material substance wrapped around like a cloth around the cracked area. As if the crack came from the factory and they covered it up

The fuel tank was leaking a substantial amount of fuel. Yes it is. Our safety was put at risk due to the fuel leak. Any small spark, overheating or if somebody threw a cigarette butt out of their window could have ignited our car. BMW informed me to immediately cease driving the car and bring to the dealership right away.

Vehicle is an EV (platform G26) and charger flap door was locked and would not open. Problem is similar to problem reported on NHTSA for BMW vehicles for "fuel filler door will not open", SIB 51 27 20. Safety issue is vehicle can not be charged and creates risk for driver and passengers being stranded.
