Two large windshield chipping in less than 3500 miles. Very bizarre considering the cost of the car. I own another vehicle, similar size (VW touareg 2012). It was hit many times and there are barely any marks left on the windshield. Is acoustic windshield (which my car is equipped with) less resistant to cracks and breaks?

During a drive on an interstate highway in tennessee on12/27/19, the sunroof suddenly exploded. Speed was approximately 75-80 MPH on a cloudy day with the temperature in the low 60's f. Without any prior indications, there was a loud boom.
