Problem General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Buick Envista, 2024-2026 Buick Encore GX, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2025 Chevrolet Trax vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image. Risk A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera, if necessary, free of charge. Letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed September 17, 2026. Another letter will be mailed once the parts are available. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is A262554900. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026.

Problem General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Buick Encore GX, Envista, and Chevrolet Trax vehicles. The software in the Virtual Cockpit Unit Module (VCU) may cause the instrument panel display to intermittently go blank at vehicle startup or while driving. Risk A blank instrument panel will not show critical information, such as vehicle speed and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix The VCU software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2023. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is A232424320.

In April of 2025 the brakes failed at a slow speed of less than five miles per hour, after bumping into a curb in a parking lot. I put the car in reverse and pressed on the brake pedal and again the car did not stop quickly.

Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed and accelerating, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the instrument cluster screen was blank. There were no warning lights illuminated.

The instrument panel intermittently blacks out while driving. I have taken it back to the dealer twice and they are unable to reproduce the issue. The first time, they said it was a software issue and ran an update, but that did not fix the problem. I found online that this is a known issue so I contacted Buick Customer Care.

The windshield wiper blades- especially the drivers side wiper blade- on my 2024 Buick Envista are made of subpar material, and they leave streaks on the windshield in the field of view of the driver, making for hazardous driving conditions in snowy and rainy conditions.

The most serious recall counts in full and each further one counts 85% of the one before, because a vehicle sold in millions is recalled more often than a rare one without being more dangerous — and because a flat subtraction bottomed the scale out, scoring a vehicle with 22 recalls within a point of one with six.
