The emergency braking engaged the brakes for no reason. Was driving down the road with no other vehicles near me and my vehicle beeped at me and engaged the brakes hard causing a skid. I have read this is a known problem and that Nissan is failing to address this serious safety concern
While driving straight at approximately 25-30 MPH on a city street with a slight incline and no other vehicles around or inconsistencies in the road surface, the vehicle made a hard and abrupt deceleration combined with a grinding sound for about 2-3 seconds then resumed normal operation.
2019 rouge breaks for no when no one is around. Dealer says they can't find anything wrong this seems very similar to the issue reported on 2017 and 2018 models
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the forward collision warning light illuminated and the vehicle stopped abruptly. After experiencing the failure, the vehicle resumed normal operation.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While driving 35 MPH, the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle began to hesitate and seize. The contact depressed the brake pedal and was able to continue driving to his destination. The failure recurred two days later.
