As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies" and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."RiskDuring hard braking before a crash, the seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended, increasing the risk of injury.FixDealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge.
