Hyundai Palisade visibility and wiper problems, 2020–2027
325 of the 2,445 complaints owners filed with NHTSA about the Hyundai Palisade 2020–2027 name the wipers, glass and mirrors (NHTSA’s “Visibility/Wiper” heading — windshields, wipers, washers, mirrors and defrosters). The loudest years: 2020 (132), 2023 (77), 2021 (63). Filed under the same heading across these years: 2 recall campaigns, 1 NHTSA investigation. Every figure is a linked federal record; none is a failure rate, none a repair cost, and none a verdict on one car.

Two things the counts carry that are not the car: how many of each year were sold, and how long each has been on the road — an older year out-counts a newer one before anything is wrong with it. The share column is the honest comparison across years: what part of that year’s complaints named the wipers, glass and mirrors. Nothing here is a rate.

I haven't been driving my vehicle very much at all and pushed up to adjust my rearview mirror and it cracked my windsheild
Either a small stone or bug hit my windshield on the highway in the lower center area and windshield now has a small semi circle crack. What ever hit the windshield was so small I could barely hear it when it happened. I've read other complaints about this same issue
2nd row windows on both sides are cloudy/ hazy. I have taken it to our dealer and they confirm that the windows are hazy
The second row windows in my Palisade are cloudy and hazy to the point that visibility is severely impacted in certain lighting conditions
Twice this has happened. My windshield wipers lock up and will not clear the window. It seems like there may be snow or ICE below them where they tuck in when this happens, which is hard to clear out anyway.
