Two things the counts carry that are not the car: how many of each year were sold, and how long each has been on the road — an older year out-counts a newer one before anything is wrong with it. The share column is the honest comparison across years: what part of that year’s complaints named the engine. Nothing here is a rate.
When the engine complaints were filed, and at what mileage

In owners’ own words

I am having 2 issues with my 2020 Palisade. First off, for the last 7 months I can feel some sort of slip in my transmission when I am between 40-60 mph. I took in in back in November to the dealership and they claim they didn’t find any issues that I could reschedule and drive it with one of the techs at another appointment.
The engine seems to be consuming oil and diminishing the oil levels before the required oil change period. This causes the vehicle to make loud noises, cause erratic error codes/issues, including stall while driving.
The engine consumes oil at an unsustainable rate without any visible leaks or warning signs, leading to a complete engine failure
I have a Hyundai Palisade complaint. NHTSA ID Number: 11613395. I was trying to add additional information. The car stopped working again. It stops at intersections and won't start up. This time it wouldn't start at all. Had to be towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. Since June this car has been at the Hyundai Service center.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact checked the oil level and noticed there was no oil on the dipstick. The contact added oil, and the vehicle was restarted.
