Mazda filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated May 2, 2026, received Jun 4, 2026, about the fuel/propulsion system. It names 25 model years (2019–2026). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported
Source: NHTSA complaint databaseOwners of the 25 model years this bulletin names have filed 1,240 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 24 of them name Fuel/Propulsion System — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.
fuel door assembly has come loose from body. It looks like the clips that hold it in place have become worn or loose by the weight of the gas nozzle or by the fact that the gas door will not close correctly and car wash machine has made it looser and it appears to not shut all the way, and the body colored panel has fallen off as a…
2024 Mazda CX-30 · Fuel/Propulsion System · filed with NHTSA May 16, 2026 · ODI 11738294
Cruise control surges beyond normal limits, has tried to take curves on exits so fast the tires slide and I have to slam on the brakes. Also, when pulling out from behind a car, the cruise control kicks in too fast and is flying toward stopped cars, and I have to use the brake to stop it or rear-end the car in front of me.
2025 Mazda CX-50 · Fuel/Propulsion System · filed with NHTSA Jun 5, 2026 · ODI 11742406
The fuel filler door on my 2026 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid premium was defective and would not open due to a sticking fuel tank shut-off valve -- a documented known issue across the 2023 through 2025 CX-50 lineup. The vehicle was delivered brand new with this pre-existing defect without disclosure.

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5Is Mazda SA-032-26 a recall?
No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.
Is the SA-032-26 repair free?
Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way. Every Mazda warranty extension on file lists the ones Mazda has filed.
Which vehicles does SA-032-26 cover?
The manufacturer filed it against 25 model years: 2026 Mazda CX-30, 2025 Mazda CX-30, 2024 Mazda CX-30, 2023 Mazda CX-30, 2022 Mazda CX-30, 2021 Mazda CX-30 and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
