Stellantis bulletin S2522000001

What it saysTPMS Handling & Installation Best Practices NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Stellantis filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Aug 22, 2025, received Aug 27, 2025, about the wheels. It names 20 model years across Jeep, Ram and Dodge (2024–2025). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

One page for every brand it was filed under. Each brand’s bulletins: Jeep · Ram · Dodge.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported

Owners of the 16 model years this bulletin names have filed 2,015 complaints with NHTSA since 2015.

Over the last month, twice this has happened. When I turn, either direction it feels like the back wheels lock up. Rub. Drag. Took it to the dealer, and they can't get it to replicate the issue.. something is clearly wrong. Google states alot of 2022-2024 wagoneer have documented similar issues. It does NOT consistently happen.

On 11/4/25 Pepboys Tires in Pelham AL installed four new tires on my truck - BF Goodrich K03 tires. After driving 15 miles, the driver rear vehicle wheel and tire detached from the hub. All 8 lugnuts were missing and obviously had not been tightened or torqued to specifications.

2025 Ram 2500 · Wheels · filed with NHTSA Nov 6, 2025 · ODI 11697974

Purchased vehicle new in June 2025, July 2026 it prematurely wore the outside of both passenger tires to the point the chords were showing with 25,000 miles on original factory tires. Dealership replaced tires and said they found nothing wrong with alignment.

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Stellantis S2522000001 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the S2522000001 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way. Every Stellantis warranty extension on file lists the ones Stellantis has filed.

Which vehicles does S2522000001 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 20 model years across 3 brands (Jeep, Ram and Dodge): 2025 Dodge Charger, 2024 Dodge Charger, 2025 Jeep Gladiator, 2024 Jeep Gladiator, 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
