The engine goes from rest to automatic shut down when you accelerate if the Auto rest for the engine at pause is enabled. Completely shutting downs the car when it’s supposed to be accelerating
The car will not lock via the key fob or automatic door locks. When you turn off the ignition and open the drivers door it chimes and you can not lock the doors. It’s in park, and I turn the steering wheel. I’ve unplugged the negative battery, and had the fuses checked
Had to make a panic stop in rain on interstate due to vehicle in front of me using emergency turn around (vehicle was not authorized to use). Brake pedal went down furthur than normal amd abs did not activate. Barely missed having an accident. Exiting 12 miles later brake pedal went to floor.

The contact owns a 2024 Kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving at night, the low beam headlights were very dim. The headlight control was set to automatic, but the dimness of the headlights was the same as when switched to manual control. The failure was not as noticeable while using the high beam headlights.
The vehicle was looked at and was told it didn’t have sensors for the problem, I can’t believe the vehicle didn’t have sensors for that problem when the rest of the vehicle has sensors for everything else. The vehicle should be recalled to have the sensors put on for safety concerns.

The most serious recall counts in full and each further one counts 85% of the one before, because a vehicle sold in millions is recalled more often than a rare one without being more dangerous — and because a flat subtraction bottomed the scale out, scoring a vehicle with 22 recalls within a point of one with six. A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, otherwise F. Read it as what it counts: recall campaigns on the federal record, weighted by severity. The damping reduces the sales bias by roughly 40% but does not remove it: like our complaint counts, this is not normalized by how many were sold, so a best-seller still scores somewhat worse than an obscure model with the same real risk.
