When driving 50mph - 70 mph the Forward Collision Warning will engage and the emergency brakes will engage. The car will come to a stop. This has happened while on the highway and crashes were barely avoided. It has injured my back with the sudden stop.
I have 2 issues. 1. The forward collision light has come on for no apparent reason. This has happened 4 times in the last 2-3 months. The car doesn't do anything with this issue other then the warning indicator. 2. The automatic braking system has activated for no apparent reason. This has happened 3 times.
The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 MPH while making a turn, a second speeding vehicle crashed into the front drivers side of the vehicle causing significant damage to the front driver side.

I bought the car on Memorial Day and left the dealership with a full tank. That Friday, June 4, 2021, I drive my car to NYC for a meeting. My gas tank was very low when I arrived and I only had 1 mile until empty. I went to the gas station and the fuel door would not open. There is no manual release for the fuel door.

Safety Signal starts every model-year at 100 and subtracts points per open NHTSA recall campaign by severity: critical 15 (fire risk, park-outside or do-not-drive advisories), high 8 (brakes, steering, airbags, loss of drive power, structure, battery), moderate 6, minor 3 (software, labels, lighting fixed by an update). The most serious recall counts in full and each further one counts 85% of the one before, because a vehicle sold in millions is recalled more often than a rare one without being more dangerous — and because a flat subtraction bottomed the scale out, scoring a vehicle with 22 recalls within a point of one with six. A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, otherwise F. Read it as what it counts: recall campaigns on the federal record, weighted by severity. The damping reduces the sales bias by roughly 40% but does not remove it: like our complaint counts, this is not normalized by how many were sold, so a best-seller still scores somewhat worse than an obscure model with the same real risk.
