Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Air Bags” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

The front passenger seat Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor failed. When the passenger seat is completely empty and vacant, the dashboard airbag warning light illuminates and stays on. However, when an adult sits in the passenger seat, the warning light turns off and the system functions normally.
The air bag light turned on in the dashboard and I took it to the dealership they charged a diagnostics fee and said that the OSC sensor and control unit need to be replaced.
The Air Bag Light on the instrument panel came on for no reason. I took the vehicle to the dealership. I had to pay for a reset to have been done. There were 2 or 3 codes that came up. I was told and the paperwork said that the technician resolved the problem.
Air baglight on dash is on and passenger airbags have been off. The first correction to this was when I bought my car 4 years ago and last week the red light came on and the passenger off sign.
The passenger airbag sensor on my dashboard has been on constantly even if the seat is empty for two years and has been passing inspection. However, for some odd reason, my car failed inspection this year due to the airbag light. It costs over $2200 to fix. My Altima also has this issue. Nissan needs to recall this issue.

They are documented: NHTSA holds 77 owner complaints naming the airbags on this model year (11% of everything owners filed about it), and 1 recall is filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.
Is there a recall for the airbags on the 2017 Nissan Rogue?
Yes — one campaign is filed under this heading: 16V244000. A recall is matched by VIN; check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
When do airbag problems show up on the 2017 Nissan Rogue?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 19,000 miles; half of them between 14,000 and 37,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Air Bags" heading cover?
Airbags, their sensors and warning lights. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
