Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Engine” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

When traveling on highway at 50-70 MPH and hitting a bump, the front of the Jeep begins to shake or wobble very hard back and forth. The only way to stop it is to hit the brakes quickly and hard, making driving very unsafe - especially increasing the danger of getting rear ended.
The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. While parking, the vehicle made a revving sound before the contact pressed the ignition button to turn off the vehicle. The engine some how reeved up and accelerated and jumped the curve and hit a building. The manufacturer had not been contacted yet. The vehicle was still under warranty.
When I first turn on the heater on cold morning, a maple syrup smell like antifreeze comes out of the dash vents. My coolant overflow tank looses about 1/4" coolant in 2000 miles. I believe there is a pin hole leak in the heater core. The dealer did a pressure test, but the leak must be too small to detect.
Drove into the gas station, put my Jeep in park, put the emergency break on, turned it off and proceeded to fill up the tank, I did not top the tank off, got back in my Jeep started it back up, engine started fine, released emergency break put Jeep in drive put foot on gas to proceed out of the gas station Jeep pulled out of the gas bay…
I have a 2018 sahara with approx 1500 miles on it. Since day one I have felt like its idled rough a constant heavy vibration in the engine so much so that you can physically see the plastic windows of the soft top moving and the front tires and the seats shaking.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communicationsAre engine problems common on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler?
They are documented: NHTSA holds 103 owner complaints naming the engine on this model year (6% of everything owners filed about it), and 108 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.
Is there a recall for the engine on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler?
No recall campaign is filed under this heading for this model year (there are 14 filed under other headings). A bulletin is not a recall: it carries no federal duty to repair for free.
When do engine problems show up on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 18,570 miles; half of them between 5,000 and 44,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Engine" heading cover?
The engine and its cooling system. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
