Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Power Train” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

My 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a persistent, intermittent grinding or rumbling noise during moderate acceleration, most often under load such as going uphill. The noise has been documented over seven service visits and confirmed in writing by two separate Jeep dealerships, yet Jeep claims they cannot replicate it consistently.
3 instances of complete loss of power, 1 while driving. Vehicle came to a hard stop as though I had slammed on the brakes. Dealer and Jeep have acknowledged the problem as a known issue. Jeep is saying it's safe to drive, but dealer agrees it is not and is not returning the vehicle to me.
On February 10, 2025 at approximately 4:45 EST, I was driving approximately 55MPH in the far left lane of a multi-lane highway when I received a notice that my hybrid propulsion system had malfunctioned.
on/about 3/20 while driving on the freeway changing lanes, the transmission went from 8th gear to 3rd and did so with such violently it felt as though i was struck by another car. The transmission did this multiple times with multiple drivers.
approx one time per month the transmission will not upshfft from 1st gear when accelerating from a stop. Engine RPM is very high and resulting vehicle speed low. Only remedy I have found is to pullover, stop and turn engine off, then restart
