Jeep Owner's manual explains how to setup the vehicle for flat towing behind an RV. Following those instructions, the vehicle does not track well. I've experienced this going through turns. Others report what they call a 'death wobble' while traveling at highway speeds. That's what worries me.

I have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with approx 15,600 miles. I had just finished pumping gas and started the vehicle. Put vehicle in drive and noticed the steering wheel would not turn. Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communicationsAre steering problems common on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
They are documented: NHTSA holds 58 owner complaints naming the steering on this model year (10% of everything owners filed about it), and 2 recalls are filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.
Is there a recall for the steering on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Yes — 2 campaigns are filed under this heading: 24V132000, 23V352000. A recall is matched by VIN; check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
When do steering problems show up on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Too few of the complaints carry an odometer reading to say. The model year's page shows the mileage curve across every system where it can.
What does NHTSA's "Steering" heading cover?
The steering column, rack, pump and power assist. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
