Driving on fl highway, at of speed of 65 MPH, breaks went down to floor nearly ramming into back of another vehicle. Had to swerve onto shoulder vehicle then stopped. Had to continue onto nearest Ford dealer service and brake was making air leak noises and would not completely stop, even at red lights.
While driving the brakes failed, pedal went to the floor and I could not stop. Dealer said front brake lines had failed, one burst and the other had a large bubble in the line. Vehicle has 40,000 miles on it.
Started vehicle by pushing the brake and heard a noise. Car started and the brake pedal went to the floor. Computer in car started reading low brake fluid. Had car towed to Ford dealership. Hydraulic break line broke on right front wheel. Car only has 62,000 miles.
Sudden failure of brakes (pedal depressed to floor) pulling out of store parking lot. Ford repair noted this was due to brake fluid leak from right front brake due to 'excessive material fatigue'
Driving vehicle out of development when I experienced the brakes catastrophically fail. I pushed all the way to the floor with little response. The dealer said the master cylinder leaked into the booster causing both components to fail. Over $1,000 on repair and no tangible solution. Fearful!
