Car was showing some potential problems with transmission. Intention was to get a transmission flush and fill, spark plugs replaced. After plugs replaced, repair shop took for test drive on local streets. Then it died. Towed back to shop, wouldn't restart. Examined it and found flywheel detached. Towed over to Ford authorized dealership.

While traveling on highway, vehicle began to make humming sound from rear. After about 1 minute of these sounds, the orange wrench light appeared and the vehicle began to sputter. Vehicle continued sputtering at each stop light, running rough until I was able to reach my destination and turn vehicle off

The contact was able to steer the vehicle safely off of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed.

While driving on a major headway headed out of town, my car started to make excessive rattles and noises coming from the engine area, when I would come to a stop the noise was much louder. I smelt a slight burnt smell, and also noticed the gears jumping in and out. I immediately parked the car, called for help and had the car towed back.
