ACTION 1. Remove the supplied funnel from the rear of the vehicle or trunk. 2. Insert the funnel completely in the fuel filler tube and remove completely five (5) times. 3. Re-check the fuel filler tube lower seal with a smoke machine to determine visually if any leak is present. 4. If the fuel filler lower seal continues to leak, replace the fuel filler tube. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

My car suffers from unresolved safety, hazard of intermittent gasoline fumes. I have leased this vehicle since May 13, 2022. Soon after taking delivery, I started to notice a faint smell of gasoline every day when it is enclosed in my garage. The smell has been getting stronger and I am very concerned. There have been times when I can now smell the gasoline when I enter my car when it has been parked outside.

Fuel smell continues from engine compartment. Specifically after parked in garage and it is localized to the windshield gutter on drivers side. Started 2-3 months ago. Was reported to Nissan who state that it is under engineering review and there is no fix at this time When heater turned on, fuel smell gets into cabin .
