Filed with NHTSA by the people who own these cars, about the electrical system. Quoted as written, with anything identifying removed; unverified reports — what was said, not a finding that it was true.

Traveling on highway in Washington DC, cruise control shut off and powered down car, electrical warning for rear doors not closed, seat belt and airbag warnings. Engine lights came on by the time we got into NY, gas fumes in cabin, and oil was down 2 quarts. Car would not go over 40 at times.

Burger King doesn't always kick on and I have to turn the car off and turn it on before it'll kick on even when it's in the on position. Don't feel any air coming out until I turn the car off. Turn it back on then it starts working again.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communications

Are electrical problems common on the 2023 Nissan Rogue?

They are documented: NHTSA holds 56 owner complaints naming the electrical system on this model year (8% of everything owners filed about it), and 52 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.

Is there a recall for the electrical system on the 2023 Nissan Rogue?

No recall campaign is filed under this heading for this model year (there are 6 filed under other headings). A bulletin is not a recall: it carries no federal duty to repair for free.

When do electrical problems show up on the 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Too few of the complaints carry an odometer reading to say. The model year's page shows the mileage curve across every system where it can.

What does NHTSA's "Electrical System" heading cover?

Wiring, modules, batteries, charging, infotainment and driver displays — NHTSA's broadest heading. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
