Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Engine” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

Intermittent loss of power steering and throttle. Gears lock and do not shift. Every code is flashing on dash, ABS, shifter, traction control, air bags
Vehicle only had 21421 miles on it. We were having issues with the Jeep reveling at highest RPM when turned on. This happened a handful of times and then it began to seem like it was not going to stay started and was going to stall. We took it into dealer for oil change and reported the issue said they couldn’t find anything.

Jeep Wrangler has a safety issue with clutch slipping. It is under recall. It's been in dealership multiple time over last 2 years. There is no fix for this problem. I co-leased this with my son who has put only around 4,000 miles on the Jeep in 2 years because he is afraid to drive it
My vehicle has been experiencing vibration since the very day I took purchase of the Jeep. The vehicle has a clinging noise during stop and then acceleration. It sound like a worn out piston issue

Common questions
Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communicationsAre engine problems common on the 2019 Jeep Wrangler?
They are documented: NHTSA holds 50 owner complaints naming the engine on this model year (7% of everything owners filed about it), and 115 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.
Is there a recall for the engine on the 2019 Jeep Wrangler?
No recall campaign is filed under this heading for this model year (there are 9 filed under other headings). A bulletin is not a recall: it carries no federal duty to repair for free.
When do engine problems show up on the 2019 Jeep Wrangler?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 17,000 miles; half of them between 8,000 and 65,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Engine" heading cover?
The engine and its cooling system. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
