Two things the counts carry that are not the car: how many of each year were sold, and how long each has been on the road — an older year out-counts a newer one before anything is wrong with it. The share column is the honest comparison across years: what part of that year’s complaints named the steering. Nothing here is a rate.

In owners’ own words

I purchased a new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. The steering wanders at all speeds causing continuous correction of the steering wheel. The vehicle drifts and is potentially a safety hazard. The dealership does not acknowledge there is a problem with the 2021 model
The vehicle has a lot of wandering movement while driving. The undercarriage of the vehicle and the driveshaft/steering feels like it is loose. The vehicle is difficult to keep on a center point in the lane Inez; it drives like bumper bowling balls on a bowling lane.
Steering wheel locked up suddenly on the freeway. Once it started working again, and I continue to drive, it did the same thing and entire engine shut off in the middle of intersection, as well as steering wheel locking up. Car has not turned on since
when driving at a high rate of speed typically 70-75 mph on an interstate, the entire vehicle will randomly start violently shaking this is typically triggered when the vehicle hits a bump or a overpass transition on the road.
