Filed with NHTSA by the people who own these cars, about the seat belts. Quoted as written, with anything identifying removed; unverified reports — what was said, not a finding that it was true.

My driver seat belt has randomly popped off while driving it has happened 4 times since I bought this used 2020 palisade at the end of February it’s very scary and i don’t feel safe in this car. I don’t think it has happened with my kids seatbelts but I don’t trust them , I do not have the exact dates

Both of our side seat of the middle row seatbelts will not buckle randomly or will just release. We’ve brought it in several times and they say they can’t find anything but it does this with my kids just sitting and riding. This has now been happening for years
Seat Belts Aug 23, 2024 NHTSA owner report
The seatbelts in the second passenger captains chairs will appear to be latched/locked in, and then when driving will unlatch. We have our daughters tug on them to assure proper locking and they will appear locked and still come unlatched frequently while we are driving. This problem has been going on and off since we owned the vehicle.
Seat Belts Jul 3, 2024 NHTSA owner report
The seatbelt is flush with the seat and does not allow for a safe and easy fashion to buckle our son in while in his booster seat. We can get it done, but it is extremely difficult and he cannot do it on his own.
Seat Belts May 9, 2023 NHTSA owner report
Multiple seatbelts in the vehicle seem to be latched properly, then while driving, they become unlatched. This occurs often, but is made worse in colder weather

Yes — one campaign is filed under this heading: 25V607000. A recall is matched by VIN; check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

When do seat belt problems show up on the 2020 Hyundai Palisade?

Too few of the complaints carry an odometer reading to say. The model year's page shows the mileage curve across every system where it can.

What does NHTSA's "Seat Belts" heading cover?

The area of the vehicle ODI files the complaint under. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
