Ford Expedition electrical problems, 2016–2027
293 of the 2,406 complaints owners filed with NHTSA about the Ford Expedition 2016–2027 name the electrical system (NHTSA’s “Electrical System” heading — wiring, modules, batteries, charging, infotainment and driver displays — NHTSA's broadest heading). The loudest years: 2017 (92), 2020 (35), 2018 (33). Filed under the same heading across these years: 14 manufacturer bulletins, 6 recall campaigns. Every figure is a linked federal record; none is a failure rate, none a repair cost, and none a verdict on one car.

Two things the counts carry that are not the car: how many of each year were sold, and how long each has been on the road — an older year out-counts a newer one before anything is wrong with it. The share column is the honest comparison across years: what part of that year’s complaints named the electrical system. Nothing here is a rate.
When the electrical complaints were filed, and at what mileage

In owners’ own words

At approximately 100,000 miles our park assist camera began to distort, and over the course of several weeks it finally stopped working. This has not caused any issues so far, but could pose a minor safety risk until it's fixed, as reversing in a large SUV like our Expedition EL leaves much to be desired without a park assist camera
While driving out of parking lot during a very warm day (100 degrees), A/C blower was on high as normal: 1. A/C blower suddenly stopped working. 2. A smell of something burning became evident inside car 3. Suddenly smoke started coming out of passenger side defroster and A/C vent 4.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? APIM issues causing GPS, Bluetooth, radio, settings and camera to mess up. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Getting lost on the road without GPS.
I've had a couple of issues with my expedition since day 1. When I click on my memory seat to adjust seat/mirror etc. the front mirrors (not the encasement) will turn in one direction and sit there and click until I manually adjust the mirror(s).
