This may be caused by a malfunction of the oil pressure control valve (located at the rear of the engine block near the oil filter) due to machining contamination inside the electromagnet sleeve and the solenoid plunger remaining during manufacturing. This contamination is affecting the OCV operation when oil pressure control is requested by the PCM. REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the WSM inspection for P0524.
