What it saysThis Pending Service Solution (PSS) reqeusts that technicians create a record when there are noises from the coupling rods on the front axle. NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Audi filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Jan 22, 2026, received Jan 7, 2026, about the electrical system — 2 documents under this number. It names 48 model years (2016–2025). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 46 model years this bulletin names have filed 796 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 153 of them name Electrical System, Suspension — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

Rear Suspension cross- member. Extensive corrosion hidden behind stone guard trapping dirt and moisture. I would not have known the rust was there if the stone guard had not come apart from the cross member I cannot trust the safety of this vehicle until it is repaired Audi requires a dealer inspection at the cost of the consumer.

2016 Audi Allroad · Suspension · filed with NHTSA Jul 6, 2026 · ODI 11748467

The car was driving perfectly fine until last week heading to drop my kids to school and the vehicle stopped on the middle of the street. I had no previous issues or notice. I had multiple warnings on the dashboard and now the car won't crank. I have seen several post with people with this same issue and can't find a clear answer.

2016 Audi S7 · Electrical System · filed with NHTSA Mar 8, 2024 · ODI 11576319

As I would come drive on the city roads and come to slow down to a stop or make a signal turn the auto stop would come on before making a complete stop and shuts the car off while still in motion. Causing the wheel to lock and I would have to stop the car put it in park and push the start/stop button to activate the vehicle again

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Audi TSB_2080329_1 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the TSB_2080329_1 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.

Which vehicles does TSB_2080329_1 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 48 model years: 2020 Audi A3, 2019 Audi A3, 2018 Audi A3, 2017 Audi A3, 2016 Audi A3, 2016 Audi A4 and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
