What it saysThis bulletin provides information when there is cracking/creaking noises during load changes or severe vehicle body torsion. NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Audi filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Sep 10, 2025, received Oct 3, 2025, about the structure. It names 46 model years (2017–2025). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 46 model years this bulletin names have filed 932 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 16 of them name Structure — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

My son just crashed my 2018 Audi A4 with pre sense basic and city. $20k damage in the front! No air bag deployed. It happened on a highway during morning rush hour in heavy traffic. He was driving around 40mph, traffic slow down and he did not realize until it was too late. He braked hard, but the auto brake never kicked in

My husband and son were driving down the road and the sunroof exploded causing glass shards to go everywhere. Temp was 43 degree. According to my husband, it sounded like a bomb went off. Both my husband and son were covered in glass. We had to pull small glass pieces from my son. The vehicle is currently at the dealership.

I was driving along the express way when I heard a loud explosion, I look up to see my sunroof exploded and there was glass all over the kids and I. The explosion was so loud I lost control of the car and almost veered off the road. It was terrifying. It happened last year in the winter then happened this year as well.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Audi TSB_2062633_4 a recall?

No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the TSB_2062633_4 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way.

Which vehicles does TSB_2062633_4 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 46 model years: 2024 Audi A4, 2023 Audi A4, 2022 Audi A4, 2021 Audi A4, 2020 Audi A4, 2019 Audi A4 and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
