Filed with NHTSA by the people who own these cars, about the electrical system. Quoted as written, with anything identifying removed; unverified reports — what was said, not a finding that it was true.

Day 1 of ownership of brand new vehicle. At less than 100 miles on odometer, the center part of the instrument panel goes completely black and does not display pertinent driving information, potentially information necessary for safety purposes. Center cluster screen on dash is not turning on with vehicle. It is as safety concern as none of my safety alerts are working. Lane assist, emergency braking, cruise, etc. I have reported to Kia America and have not heard back
Electrical System Jul 18, 2021 NHTSA owner report
The component is called the information cluster which sits between the odometer and the speedometer. It was been inspected and they flashed the firmware but the problem continues to persist. With out the I can not view my mileage I can’t turn on safer features like the alert if a child is left in the back seat etc.
Electrical System Jul 17, 2021 NHTSA owner report
The LCD display in the instrument cluster that gives information about many ADAS features stays Off. The screen just remains blank on most starts. Restarting after opening and closing the doors helps some times to bring the display back.
