Dec 17, 2024 2022 Wagoneer was dropped of for service for a slight rattle in the engine. It was determined that the cams and shifters were “over-torqued” and had thrown metal shavings into the engine. This would require a full engine replacement which was conducted over the course of nearly 4 months.
This is the second time this issue has happened. 1st time it happened about 1 year ago and jeep replaced some parts in relation to the ECM and etorque system. The issue happened today once again. Our jeep wagoner will just stall out our sputter in a manor to almost stall.
Engine overheated and oil pressure low warnings came on suddenly and lost power. I had my two grandkids and was on a dark country road with ditches and no shoulders. Pulled off at the next cross street to get to safety. Was stranded at night in a rural area with my and . Had to have vehicle towed and wait for someone to pick us up.
Vehicle overheated despite coolant level being at max level. I took it to dealer and dealer said it was a faulty thermostat. The problem appeared January 2, 2025, and I immediately took vehicle to the dealer
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH on the interstate, the vehicle stalled. While the contact’s husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shut down, and the driver was able to coast off the roadway. The vehicle was able to be restarted.
