Two things the counts carry that are not the car: how many of each year were sold, and how long each has been on the road — an older year out-counts a newer one before anything is wrong with it. The share column is the honest comparison across years: what part of that year’s complaints named the steering. Nothing here is a rate.

In owners’ own words

Our 2023 CR-V began having noticeable issues involving the steering around 6000 miles after 9 months of ownership. The steering wheel initially began to develop a tendency to remain centered requiring additional effort to initiate a turn. Once turning it felt normal.
The steering after a few miles, feels sticky. The steering wheel will softly jerk on the highway. Almost feels like adjusting for lane departure, but I am not departing the lane. This also causes lane keeping to feel jerky. Also, the android auto when plugged in and apps being used will turn off the radio or the sound system. Thank you
The contact owned a 2018 Honda Cr-V. The contact stated that she does not remember how the vehicle ended in a ditch. No air bags deployed. The contact sustained injuries to the right side of her body, laceration to the forearm, fractured l1, and a concussion. No police report was filed. The vehicle was towed.
After running the vehicle for more than 10-15 miles from start the steering sticks and jerky while making a curve and won't move back out of this catch without applying an extra force. This could cause the vehicle to cut the lane unintentionally and is dangerous.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Cr-V. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 19v383000 (steering). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
