On 8/22/25 was brought to my local GMC dealer for the L87 engine propulsion recall. The dealership tested and said the vehicle passed the test. On 12/3/25 while driving on a multi lane highway the vehicle engine stopped abruptly. The message restart engine appeared on the dashboard.
the digital gauge cluster suddenly black out and do not show any information such as speed, rpm, signal, etc at all. this is very serious issue for driver and passenger safety
The driver-side headlight and turn signal on my 2022 GMC Yukon stopped functioning completely. This issue began before GM recall 22V‑903 and worsened immediately after the recall repair was performed.
I jumped in and turned the car on and started driving. Right away I noticed most of the warning lights were on. The first speed bump in the complex made me realize I had lost 80-90% of my brakes as if I had a broken brake line for example and steering was a little hard and pulling a bit to one side.
While driving on the highway the engine just shut off with no warning or other indication of problem. The dashboard computer instructed to restart the vehicle, which it would not restart. Managed to get to the side of the road. But the vehicle was unresponsive.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communicationsAre electrical problems common on the 2022 GMC Yukon?
They are documented: NHTSA holds 52 owner complaints naming the electrical system on this model year (15% of everything owners filed about it), and 669 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. Is there a recall for the electrical system on the 2022 GMC Yukon?
No recall campaign is filed under this heading for this model year (there are 5 filed under other headings). A bulletin is not a recall: it carries no federal duty to repair for free.
When do electrical problems show up on the 2022 GMC Yukon?
Too few of the complaints carry an odometer reading to say. The model year's page shows the mileage curve across every system where it can.
What does NHTSA's "Electrical System" heading cover?
Wiring, modules, batteries, charging, infotainment and driver displays — NHTSA's broadest heading. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
