Filed with NHTSA by the people who own these cars, about the engine. Quoted as written, with anything identifying removed; unverified reports — what was said, not a finding that it was true.

Bought the car for my son August 2. The engine light came on the end of October, the Ford dealer was backed up once they took a look at it in the beginning of November. They told me I needed a whole new engine due to a coolant intrusion problem.

Are engine problems common on the 2019 Ford Mustang?

They are documented: NHTSA holds 62 owner complaints naming the engine on this model year (42% of everything owners filed about it), and 21 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. When do engine problems show up on the 2019 Ford Mustang?

Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 54,807 miles; half of them between 26,000 and 95,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.

What does NHTSA's "Engine" heading cover?

The engine and its cooling system. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
