On June 12, 2024 I first noticed the door handle on the Front RH passenger door stayed extended when the vehicle was locked at the end of a short trip in town. When locked, the door handles on the Fisker Ocean are designed to retract flush with the surface of the door.

Passenger Door Unlock fails, and passenger is stuck in the cabin and unable to open door - I have reported this to Fisker multiple times since my vehicle was delivered in September 2023, and despite three mobile technician visits, the problem persists

Rear left door handle will no longer open the door. Either from the interior or exterior. Unlocking and locking the vehicle does not resolve the issue. Fisker says to pull the interior door handle twice in case of emergency, but this does not manually actuate the door handle.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communications

Are body and structure problems common on the 2023 Fisker Ocean?

They are documented: NHTSA holds 59 owner complaints naming the body and structure on this model year (7% of everything owners filed about it), and 1 recall is filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.

Is there a recall for the body and structure on the 2023 Fisker Ocean?

Yes — one campaign is filed under this heading: 24V466000. A recall is matched by VIN; check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

When do body and structure problems show up on the 2023 Fisker Ocean?

Too few of the complaints carry an odometer reading to say. The model year's page shows the mileage curve across every system where it can.

What does NHTSA's "Structure" heading cover?

Body panels, frame, roof rails, trim and glass as fitted. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
