The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the rear driver's side sliding door was completely defective. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed and the dealer stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle.
This vehicle will not allow for the rear doors to open manually when the electronic system fails. This poses a significant safety risk for entry and exit of the vehicle when the "actuator/motor, electric door lock" fails on the sliding doors. On 6/15/2019 the second incident occurred with the vehicle
