The ambient temperature sensor doesn't work. It does not read the correct temperature outside. This impacts the A/C, which does not work properly when the sensor is not reading the correct external temperature. The fairfield Chevrolet service department refuses to acknowledge the issue, let alone fix or replace the sensor.

They are documented: NHTSA holds 133 owner complaints naming the electrical system on this model year (16% of everything owners filed about it), and 498 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. When do electrical problems show up on the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 41,000 miles; half of them between 18,000 and 68,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Electrical System" heading cover?
Wiring, modules, batteries, charging, infotainment and driver displays — NHTSA's broadest heading. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
