CAMPAIGN BULLETIN Cummins NOx Emissions Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign PD128 PD129 ***** Campaign Summary ***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign on certain 2016-2019 Titan Diesel vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. Vehicles affected by this campaign require upgraded emissions control software and hardware for model years 2016-2017 or upgraded software only for model years 2018-2019. This finding has no effect on the safety of the vehicle. Cummins and the California Air Resources Board have entered into an agreement to correct this condition. In order to implement this correction, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign. The remedy and parts are now available. Nissan dealers will update the emissions control software and install a Particulate Matter Sensor for model years 2016-2017 and update emissions control software only for model years 2018-2019. IMPORTANT: It is a violation of Federal law for dealers to sell or deliver new vehicles in their inventory covered by this notification until the campaign’s remedy action is performed.): REVISION 2 Please discard earlier versions of this bulletin. The announcement from January 10, 2025 has been revised to include the following: • The remedy and parts are now available, please refer to NTB24-061 to remedy any vehicle affected by PD128 and NTB24-062 to remedy any vehicle affected by PD129. Purchased new 2016 Nissan Titan Xd had severe downshift problem where vehicle would shift so abruptly it would feel like you slammed on brake pedal. Today while turning left from stop light a gas truck in first lane failed to stop at traffic light. I hit the accelerator to pull away and no throttle response at all.

I stopped to get diesel and pulled onto the interstate. Within 2 miles of being on the interstate, the engine felt as though it downshifted, lost power, and stalled in a construction one lane zone with no way to get out of traffic. The engine would no longer turn over and the truck would not start.

while I'm driving my truck, it has a Cummins Diesel engine, at certain times I guess that the engine goes through a regen process, when it odes this process then the cab is filled with noxious gases. This process last a few minutes and causes you to lower the windows to get rid of the toxic gases.
