Certain IONIQ Electric (AE EV) and Kona Electric (OS EV) vehicles may exhibit a restricted coolant flow condition, which may be accompanied by a warning message (e.g., Coolant Supplement, Refill Inverter Coolant) in the cluster. No related DTCs are stored, and coolant level is normal in the reservoir tank. The coolant flow may be restricted by debris, causing abnormally high Electric Water Pump (EWP) speed. This TSB contains instructions for confirming high RPMs in the EWP, then using the Coolant Flushing Equipment Set to flush and clean debris from the various cooling system circuits. The coolant will be replaced with the updated Electric Vehicle Battery System Coolant (BSC-2) low-conductivity blue coolant.

I feel unsafe even driving this vehicle knowing it could possibly blow up. As of 7/12/2021, no remedy is listed. I have called my local dealer and they say the same, no remedy yet

The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid. The contact stated that upon depressing the accelerator pedal, there was an abnormal ratting sound coming from the vehicle, and the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The contact stated that the check engine and oil warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel.

My wife was pulling into a parking place at Home Depot when the car suddenly accelerated, jumped the curb & hit a tree on the sidewalk. It did significant damage to the front bumper of the car but the airbags did not deploy & my wife was not hurt. I am guessing that it will be several thousand dollars to repair
