Honda bulletin ATI&08072025901

What it saysDealer Message - American Honda Motor Co., Inc. NHTSA’s full summary ↓

Honda filed this with NHTSA as a manufacturer communication dated Aug 7, 2025, received Aug 18, 2025, about the visibility/wiper. It names 11 model years (2022–2025). A manufacturer communication is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported

Source: NHTSA complaint database

Owners of the 11 model years this bulletin names have filed 2,966 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 21 of them name Visibility/Wiper — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.

Driver's side outdoor mirror is defective - a) On irregular payment ("not smooth") at any speed, this mirror vibrates and loses its vertical and horizontal position. Needs constant re-adjustment with power controls while driving or after vehicle is parked. Or both.

2022 Honda Odyssey · Visibility/Wiper · filed with NHTSA Aug 22, 2022 · ODI 11480623

The vehicle makes a whistling sound form the front of the vehicle, while on a road trip the windshield got foggy and the defroster was not able to clear the windshield due to what I believe is an air leak from the windshield, that’s also causing the whistling

2023 Honda Odyssey · Visibility/Wiper · filed with NHTSA Dec 16, 2023 · ODI 11560445

At higher speeds, 60+ MPH, the drivers side mirror will vibrate causing visibility issues, as the image is not stable. This is cause for concern when traveling at high speeds and using the mirror to check surroundings for lane changes

2024 Honda Accord · Visibility/Wiper · filed with NHTSA Aug 12, 2024 · ODI 11607918

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions

Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5

Is Honda ATI&08072025901 a recall?

No. A manufacturer communication is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.

Is the ATI&08072025901 repair free?

Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way. Every Honda warranty extension on file lists the ones Honda has filed.

Which vehicles does ATI&08072025901 cover?

The manufacturer filed it against 11 model years: 2025 Honda Accord, 2024 Honda Accord, 2023 Honda Accord, 2025 Honda Civic, 2024 Honda Civic, 2023 Honda Civic and more. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
