While driving my 2026 Honda Odyssey, I stopped at a red light and the engine shut off through the Auto Idle Stop system. I pressed the Auto Idle Stop OFF button because I wanted the engine running again before proceeding. Instead of restarting the engine, the vehicle completely shut down and became inoperable in traffic.

Three times now since buying my van about 6 months ago brand new, I come to a stop light, the engine turns off, but then it won't come back on when the light turns green. I have had to put my hazards on while I frantically push the start button multiple times. Eventually it will start up but takes 1-2 minutes.

When we come to a stop position, the Fuel Savings Cut off does not start back up and the car stalls and shifts back to N. Takes for ever to re start if it can re start. This has happened to us more that 6 times. I took it this morning to Flow Honda of Charlottesville and talked to the service manager, Jackie.
