Stellantis filed this with NHTSA as a service bulletin dated Jan 21, 2025, received Jan 23, 2025, about the fuel/propulsion system. It names 6 model years across Dodge and Chrysler (2022–2023). A service bulletin is not a safety recall: it is the manufacturer telling its dealers how to diagnose or repair a condition, and whether the work is paid for depends on the warranty in force. Quoting the number at a service desk can save a diagnosis.

What the bulletin says
Source: NHTSA's summary of the manufacturer's communicationTUBE Fuel Filler When there is fuel leakage at the joint of the Inlet Check Valve or the joint of the Fuel Filler Tube, place a mark on the Fuel Filler Tube of the insertion depth of the Filler Hose before removing the Hose. Check the Fuel Filler Hose for delamination or potential hole(s) or damage. Check the Inlet Check Valve (ICV) for any damage. If there is no damage found on the ICV and the Fuel Filler Hose is found to have delamination or damage, replace the Fuel Filler Hose and Clamps only. Do not replace the Fuel Filler Tube and/or the Fuel Tank. Install the new Fuel Filler Hose on the Tube to the marked location

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. A PDF link is shown only once NHTSA’s own server has been seen to serve that document; the rest are checked over the following nights. Quote the number at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.

What owners reported
Source: NHTSA complaint databaseOwners of the 6 model years this bulletin names have filed 105 complaints with NHTSA since 2015. 3 of them name Fuel/Propulsion System — the same broad component group this bulletin is filed under. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so that means the same area of the vehicle, not necessarily the same fault.
The car is a 2022 with only 17k miles it started by smelling like gas really bad in the car and outside of it and eventually leaking gas badly so i took it into the dealership and it turns out there is a defective weld on the fuel filler neck and it had been leaking for a while.

A complaint is one owner’s account, not a defect finding, and a bulletin is not a recall. Nothing here says this bulletin was issued because of these complaints, or that the repair it describes fixed them. Complaint files on this site begin in 2015.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA, 49 CFR 579.5Is Stellantis 9100488 a recall?
No. A service bulletin is a manufacturer communication filed with NHTSA under 49 CFR 579.5; a safety recall carries an NHTSA campaign number (two digits, a letter, six digits) and a federal duty to repair for free. Check the vehicle’s recalls by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, or on its page here.
Is the 9100488 repair free?
Not automatically. A service bulletin describes how to diagnose or repair a condition; who pays depends on the warranty in force, any extension, and the dealer. Quoting the number can save a diagnosis either way. Every Stellantis warranty extension on file lists the ones Stellantis has filed.
Which vehicles does 9100488 cover?
The manufacturer filed it against 6 model years across 2 brands (Dodge and Chrysler): 2023 Chrysler 300, 2022 Chrysler 300, 2023 Dodge Challenger, 2022 Dodge Challenger, 2023 Dodge Charger, 2022 Dodge Charger. Whether one particular vehicle is affected is a matter of its VIN and its build, not its model year alone.
