Chevrolet bulletin N242452131-02

Chevrolet filed this with NHTSA as a emissions communication dated Sep 11, 2026, received Sep 15, 2026, about the fuel/propulsion system. It names 4 model years (2023–2024). A emissions communication is not a safety recall — there is no NHTSA campaign number and no federal requirement — but it is usually work the manufacturer pays for on the vehicles it names; the dealer checks the VIN against the manufacturer’s list.

Emission Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain 2023-2024 model year Chevrolet Colorado / Silverado 1500 and GMC Canyon / Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L engine (RPO L3B). The Engine Control Module (ECM) may not sufficiently control fuel injector flow rate under certain driving conditions. Dealers are to reprogram the ECM.

The summary is NHTSA’s abstract of the document, as filed under 49 CFR 579.5; the full text comes from the manufacturer or a dealer. One communication is usually filed as several documents — the bulletin, a dealer notice, an owner letter — and the number on any of them finds this page. Quote it at a service desk; it is what the dealer’s system is keyed on.
