ACTIVE PARK DISTANCE CONTROL (PDC): UNDESIRED BRAKING. This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 1) replaces SI B66 17 19 dated August 2019. What's New: Procedure - changed ISTA version. The vehicle applies the brakes on its own when reversing onto an inclined roadway or driveway. This applies only to the situation where the Active PDC option is activated via the iDrive.

The vehicle hit another vehicle stopped in front at the stop sign. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle hit the back bumper of the other vehicle at 5 MPH.

While driving, collision detection activates for no reason. Very random, sometimes just warning lights and sounds, and sometimes slamming on brakes at speed over 40 MPH. No cars coming in other direction or any obstacles whatsoever. Weather clear. I almost got rear-ended once. Did not activate when fox ran in front of car.

While driving along secondary roadway , with no other cars within sight or obstructions within view, automatic braking of the vehicle occurred. Braking action was severe enough to cause driver to be propelled against the seat belt shoulder strap. Brakes released within approximately one second after application.
