Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Engine” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

Last year our AC stopped working intermittently, took it to the Nissan dealership and they charged me almost $2,000 to replace the AC compressor. This year the Engine Radiator Coolant fan became an issue, the coolant fan bearing has something wrong with it and causes it to turn the ac off and overheat the engine.
The radiator fan quit working around 116000 miles, causing engine to overheat, a/c to not work, coolant tank to boil all contents out each time the engine overheats. Starting the car is difficult now, have to pump the gas to get the engine to turn over. Battery dies often now
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 MPH in a parking lot, the vehicle lost motive power. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced.
Transmission Failed and needed to be replaced with less than 60,000 Miles. There is a known issue with other Transmissions in the same year for this vehicle and mine should not be included

The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired.

Common questions
Source: NHTSA complaint database, recalls and manufacturer communicationsAre engine problems common on the 2018 Nissan Rogue?
They are documented: NHTSA holds 77 owner complaints naming the engine on this model year (10% of everything owners filed about it), and 60 manufacturer bulletins are filed under the same heading. Whether it is a problem on one particular car is a diagnosis, not a count, and a count says nothing about how many were sold.
Is there a recall for the engine on the 2018 Nissan Rogue?
No recall campaign is filed under this heading for this model year (there are 4 filed under other headings). A bulletin is not a recall: it carries no federal duty to repair for free.
When do engine problems show up on the 2018 Nissan Rogue?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 26,000 miles; half of them between 10,000 and 55,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Engine" heading cover?
The engine and its cooling system. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
