As I was driving home at around 45 mph, I noticed a flashing light on the dashboard. The light was instructing me to switch to 'P' to start. Additionally, there was a light indicating a plug-in, and the 'D' was flashing. I wasn't sure what was happening, but I knew something was wrong.
I was driving about 35 mph on a residential street on 10/24/23 at approximately 18:30 listening to a podcast steaming from my phone. The Jeep was in BEV mode and the ICE motor was not activated for my entire drive home.
On the evening of Sept. 13th I was driving in-town appx. 25mph, pulling into a Walmart shopping center, when my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe (Purchased in July of 2023) unexpectedly, with NO WARNING shut down! It reduced speed immediately and went into a "coasting mode" almost causing the car behind me to rear-end me.
Yesterday 8/27/23 at 5pm I pulled into a parking lot and then into a parking space. As I came to a stop my Jeep lunged forward into the vehicle that was parked in front of me. At the time my Jeep Wrangler 4XE was operating in Hibrid mode running on electric with 49% charge left.
My vehicle suddenly shut down while at freeway speeds on a 5 lane freeway. I could not get the vehicle restarted. There were no warnings to indicate of a potential problem. I experienced an extremely unsafe situation

What does NHTSA's "Power Train" heading cover?
The transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, axles and differentials — NHTSA files them under one heading. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
