The clutch in my 2022 Jeep Wrangler has been under recall since March 5, 2023 due to risk of overheating and catching fire. Jeep has pushed back their solution to this recall for 2022 models until August 2024.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available.
Transmission has been leaking transmission fluid since date of purchase. At ~13,000 miles, the dealer replaced the entire transmission under warranty. The new transmission is also leaking transmission fluid. Since transmission fluid is flammable, this is a safety concern when the dripping transmission fluid contacts the hot exhaust tubing
