2016 Jeep Compass recall - the power and engine light comes on and the car loses power. I have to cut it off and restart. The engine light stays on for a while and after a couple of engine starts, the lights go off. When it loses power, pushing on the gas, the car doesn't get any power to move forward. It's only coasting along.
