Problem Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2018 Jaguar E-Pace vehicles. The brackets that secure the front brake hoses may not have been installed properly, allowing the front brake hoses to contact the tires, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak. Risk A brake fluid leak can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Fix Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front brake hose brackets, replacing any that do not provide sufficient clearance, free of charge. The recall began on April 16, 2018. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H074.

Problem Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2018 Jaguar XE, XF, E-PACE, F-PACE and F-TYPE vehicles equipped with a 2.0L gasoline engine. The fuel rail end caps may leak, possibly resulting in fuel vapor or liquid fuel leaking into the engine bay. Risk A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components can increase the risk of a fire. Fix Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel rail, free of charge. The recall began on March 8, 2018. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H081.

I own a 2018 Jaguar E-PACE that recently failed the Virginia state safety inspection due to a problem involving the fuel system/fuel rail. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request. The primary symptom was a strong smell of raw gasoline. There were no warning lights or messages on the dashboard.

Fuel is leaking onto the engine and in the engine bay from the fuel rail and fuel line. I can also smell fuel inside the vehicle's cab. There is already a recall on this exact year make and model vehicle with the same engine. Somehow my vehicle did not make it to the list. My vehicle is available for inspection.

OEM windshield, vehicle has no accidents or damage. Windshield seal failed. Can push the windshield away from the frame and has water intrusion. Safety Signal starts every model-year at 100 and subtracts points per open NHTSA recall campaign by severity: critical 15 (fire risk, park-outside or do-not-drive advisories), high 8 (brakes, steering, airbags, loss of drive power, structure, battery), moderate 6, minor 3 (software, labels, lighting fixed by an update). The most serious recall counts in full and each further one counts 85% of the one before, because a vehicle sold in millions is recalled more often than a rare one without being more dangerous — and because a flat subtraction bottomed the scale out, scoring a vehicle with 22 recalls within a point of one with six. A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, otherwise F. Read it as what it counts: recall campaigns on the federal record, weighted by severity. The damping reduces the sales bias by roughly 40% but does not remove it: like our complaint counts, this is not normalized by how many were sold, so a best-seller still scores somewhat worse than an obscure model with the same real risk.
