Counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not verified defects, and scale with how many of these were sold; nothing here is a rate. NHTSA groups complaints coarsely, so “Service Brakes” means the same area of the vehicle, not one fault.

Brakes failed while driving. Mechanics found all brake fluid leaked internally from master cylinder into the brake booster. I have another Ford vehicle that was recalled for this exact problem in 2017
Wife started car. Pushed on the brake to put it in gear. Brake pedal went to floor. Checked master cylinder. Cylinder was completely empty. Brake fluid leaked past seals in master cylinder into the brake booster, then got sucked into engine and burned. No warning lights came on at all..
Total brake failure while backing up , almost hit another vehicle, shifted to forward to avoid accident , loss of brake fluid in master cylinder to brake booster. Exact symptoms as recall 20s31 with 2014 to 2017 f150. The Expedition is on af150 chassis . According to dealer not under recall but probably should be. Out of warranty.
The brake system went out while driving my 2017 Ford Expedition. The warning light came on indicating low brake fluid. I called Ford about the issue to which they told the issue was not covered under the warranty. After some research there is a recall on the master brake cylinder and brake booster system on the f150 ecoboost.
Started car, apply brake to shift into gear. All of the sudden, the brake pedal went straight to the floor and the low brake fluid light came on and the car started to roll so I applied the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. And put back into park

Yes — 2 campaigns are filed under this heading: 25V236000, 22V150000. A recall is matched by VIN; check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
When do brake problems show up on the 2017 Ford Expedition?
Owners who gave an odometer reading reported it at a median of 91,818 miles; half of them between 66,000 and 115,000. That is when reports cluster, not the life of a part.
What does NHTSA's "Service Brakes" heading cover?
The hydraulic brakes, ABS and brake assist. Owners choose the heading when they file, so it says which area of the vehicle the complaint is about, not which part failed.
