Driving along a two lane country road when out of know were the truck lock up the brakes, there was know traffic in front or rear, lucky for use. The only thing was a park car about 200 ft off the road with no one in it.
The Automatic Emergency Braking System failed me today. The truck is available for inspection. I was driving at about 45 mph, when a car pulled out from a driveway infront of me when it probably should have waited, but there was still time for me to brake safely.
Vehicle panic braked for absolutely no reason at all. I was rounding an ascending curve, there were no vehicles within sight in front of me. Fortunately there were none directly behind me either
Twice in the first 6000 miles this vehicle has suddenly activated the forward collision avoidance system with emergency breaking although no cars were around. Fortunately a vehicle wasn’t behind me otherwise there may have been a collision.
within 24 hours or purchasing this brand new truck (5 miles on it) sensor issues began and slowly escalated from a service door latch system error to auto braking engagement for absolutely no reason at 35-40 mph and side mirror warning sensors turning and staying on causing all windows not to move.
